That's when "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley came on. Don't worry/ about a thing. Because every little thing/ is gonna be all right. What's going on. Have you ever just have the exact right song come shuffle? And then it happens again? Fuck. Rock and roll is magic.
What I want is to sit on this train and say I love you to all these people and for us to be able to talk and laugh and hug like we do, or we can, like strangers literally can, but don't, because why would that do that, but still do it anyway and for that to not be some big deal, just an acknowledgement of universal truth, of the way it is to be human on this rock. But that's not the way the world is. That's not safe. We're too dangerous to each other like that. And so I can sit here in the private world of my headphones with Lou Reed wailing, "Oh it's such a perfect day in my ears," and I just want to say God bless you everybody. I love you. Which God? Who knows; who cares. It doesn't matter. Question for another time but seriously God bless you God dammit and I do love you, I do, but I have to protect myself as well. I only have so much. So I carry it around with my as a basic Utopic worldview, were all just living in Mr. Rogers neighborhood, we really are. But I don't want to live in that world, at least not most of the time, because while it does recognize the pain and trauma in balance with the beauty, even just focusing on us as human brethren still flattens us. Each of us are just so wide and deep, so chasmous, with trillions of brilliant refractions in the rock.
